Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: July 19, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Studese mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Studese (“Studese,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Studese is a free educational productivity platform designed to help students organize and manage their academic life in one place. Features may include notes, events, reminders, study schedules, academic planning, organization tools, and other productivity features. Studese is intended for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise authorized by us.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Studese. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
3. User Accounts
Some features require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, keep your login credentials secure, notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised, and accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Free Service
Studese is currently provided free of charge. There are no subscription fees, no in-app purchases, and no mandatory payments to use the core features. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. If we do, users will be notified before any charges apply.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any notes, files, reminders, calendars, or other content you create or upload ("User Content"). By using Studese, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Service. You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to upload content that violates any law, infringes another person's intellectual property, contains malware or malicious code, or is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Studese for unlawful purposes, attempt unauthorized access to any system or account, disrupt or interfere with the Service, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code, copy, distribute, sell, or exploit the Service without permission, upload harmful software, viruses, or malicious code, or impersonate another person or organization.
7. Intellectual Property
The Studese name, logo, software, interface, graphics, trademarks, and all related intellectual property are owned by Studese or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
8. Privacy
Your use of Studese is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.
9. Availability of the Service
We strive to keep Studese available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
10. Account Termination
You may stop using Studese at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or your use poses a security or legal risk. Termination may result in the loss of access to your content if it has not been backed up.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studese disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studese and its owners, employees, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use Studese during the previous twelve (12) months. Since Studese is currently free, this amount may be zero where permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Studese and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
14. Apple App Store Terms
These Terms are between you and Studese, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Service, maintenance or support, any warranty obligations, claims relating to the Service, product liability claims, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them where applicable.
15. Changes to the Service
We may update, modify, improve, or discontinue any feature of Studese at any time without prior notice.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we may notify users through the app or website. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Canada unless otherwise required by applicable law.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Studese regarding the use of the Service.
